A one-day course designed to provide an introduction to the concepts and operation of the mixed signal simulation system found within Altium Designer.
The course concentrates on providing essential background information regarding the concepts of the simulation system and then moves on to provide hands-on tutorials illustrating how to create simultation-ready components, capture schematics and run analyses. Exercises include how to work with the Waveform Viewer and how to analyse your results. Starting with simple circuits and classical analogue and mixed signal designs, you will appreciate what's needed to get the best out of the Altium Mixed Signal Simulation tools.
After attending this course, I have realised that Altium must be my main simulation tool. I previously used Orcad.
The tutor introduces each subject, outlining the underlying concepts. Delegates proceed to complete hands-on exercises using the software. The tutor will summarise the session by highlighting any potential pitfalls and common misconceptions. There will be plenty of time for individual discussions and guidance.
